• This year’s youth exchange trip will take place from December the 11th to the 21st. Thirteen junior and senior high school students from Uchiko will stay for one  week in Rothenburg and will visit London for two days.

Rothenburg in Uchiko

• On the occasion of the signing of the Sister City treaty with Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Rothenburg`s, mayor Walter Hartl visited Uchiko from October the 28th until the 31st. Besides all the ceremonies and the Rothenburg exhibition in the Uchiko-za theater, Uchiko provided its guests an interesting framework program. For the treaty signing ceremony Uchiko welcomed among others Ehime's governor, Mr. Nakamura, the German consul, Mr. Becker, and the president of Japan Airport Terminal, Mr. Takashiro. MORE

 

Lighting the Christmas tree

• With the beginning of the Advent season, a lighting ceremony for a traditionally decorated Christmas tree was held on November the 28th. MORE
